I DO love food.
In 2017 I launched my food blog, Salted City, and immediately became enamored with capturing evocative, beautiful photos of my culinary creations. As with portrait work, beautiful food photography tells a story and invites you to connect with the subject in a way that engages the senses and sparks the imagination.
I tend to connect equally with bright, clean, contemporary tablescapes as with dark, moody, rustic ones. Truth is, every food photography situation deserves to be treated uniquely. For example, a health and fitness business with an emphasis on clean eating and a healthy mind to support a healthy body will probably be best represented by brighter images, while a business that sells bitters and caters to the speakeasy crowd might lean toward a more dark, sophisticated style with a little edge.
Whether you're a restaurant, a food brand, a food blogger, cookbook author or anything in between, captivating images of your food are essential for telling your story and growing your business.
