This week’s challenge at iheartfaces is sun flare. So hard to chose! I love sun flare, and I use it often in my photos. I narrowed it down to the shot below because it suits the mood so perfectly. We were approaching the end of our session and I asked this family to do what they do best…what they’re known for — which is gettin’ down and gettin’ funky! I know this family well. They are our good friends and neighbors, so I love that I was able to capture their personalities so perfectly with this particular shot. The golden light of the sun, the spontaneity of the dance (even without music), the happiness in their faces, makes this not only one of my favorite sun flare shots, but one of my favorite shots of 2010.
