More Spring Mini-Sessions | Utah Family Photographer

Sometimes the kids show up and you don’t even need to say a thing. These kids love the camera and the camera loves them. The session flowed so smoothly. Mom stood by and let them do their thing. The energy was so nice…you can feel it in the photos, can’t you?

Spring Mini Sessions | Salt Lake Family Photographer

I’ve been photographing this family for several years now. Cherise is the founder of Utah Moms for Clean Air, http://www.utahmomsforcleanair.org/. She really cares about these girls and the air they breathe — and about the air we breathe too! Thanks, Cherise, for all your hard work and dedication to keeping Utah’s air clean. A momma devoted to her cause and a very cute family to boot.

High School Senior Mini-Sessions :: Salt Lake H.S. Senior Photographer

High School Seniors unite! If you missed doing your Senior photos because the end of the year got too crazy, don’t despair. Grab a few of your BFF’s and join me for some quick and fun 20-minute senior photos. Choose your look — funky urban or natural country session (see examples below). You’ll get a CD with 15 of your favorite images for do-it-yourself printing and web sharing, plus a fun wall collage with four of your favorite images — perfect for hanging in your dorm or off-campus apartment.

Sessions are $450 and include the sitting, CD and custom collage — if you’ve shopped around, you know this is a fantastic deal. Sessions must be booked on or before June 1, 2011. Go to the contact section on this blog and send me a message.

Express Yourself :: Salt Lake Child Photographer

This series, from last Spring’s mini sessions, always brings a smile to my face. The 3D glasses without lenses were so fun. Thanks to mom for letting him be him.

I really enjoy the process of making people feel at ease and watching their personalities unfold in front of the camera. It didn’t take any prodding on my part to get these.

Spring Mini Sessions | Salt Lake Family Photographer

Despite Salt Lake’s cold and dreary weather as of late, yes, Spring is officially here. (And rain is part of the deal right? But what’s up with the cold?) Well, cold weather aside, I’m excited to see the trees blooming and the verdant hillsides. It makes the snow on the bigger mountains even more dramatic. I feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful landscape.

Spring also signals mini session time at Jackelin Slack Photography. I do a Spring Photo Fundraiser with two local schools, Uintah Elementary and Bonneville Elementary. If you have students at these schools, set aside some time for some great family photos. These are some shots from last year’s Spring Mini Sessions. The sessions are just $50 for a 15-minute session, and I donate the $50 sitting fee to the schools. Prints are separate, but I offer special collections at discounted prices. If I don’t fill these sessions, I will be offering spots to the general public, so please contact me if you’re interested and I’ll place your name on a list of people to call.

This Spring, sessions will take place on May 21-22 and June 11-12 in the same lovely field you see below. Spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so don’t miss it!
